Richmond, Indiana – First Bank Richmond would like to announce the appointment of Paul J. Witte as President & Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1, 2023. Garry D. Kleer, First Bank Richmond’s current Chairman of the Board, President & Chief Executive Officer will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO of the bank and as Chairman, President, and CEO of Richmond Mutual Bancorporation.

Mr. Witte has been an integral part of the First Bank team since joining in 1996. A 1995 graduate of Ball State University with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, he later graduated from the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin in 2000. In addition, he earned a Certified Public Accountant designation in 2002.
Over his career at First Bank, he has managed both the leasing and commercial lending departments while also being an active member in the community by providing guidance and leadership to a multitude of local organizations. His current commitments include serving on the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce Board and the Reid Health Finance Committee.
